Voiced / POEM: River's Drink by Thomas Rivet

River's Drink
When the wind blows,
blush.
When the waves rush
down wild stream,
wink.
Oh , I meant
blink
until beaten,
broken branches
drown by river’s drink.
When the trees
shake like rattlesnakes,
flail in fright.
Run!
She has come.
She comes near
She carries fear
She collides
And crashes.
Carry us in the else
of here,
Or else.

She therein is
in her right,

frightenin’.
